Watch out for a new tick species in the Czech Republic

The giant Hyalomma tick has been recorded in the Czech countryside, most often arriving via migratory birds and benefiting from warmer, longer seasons. It’s not a widespread invasion, but it’s worth knowing how to recognise it and how to protect yourself.
